Country star Jimmie Allen released a formal apology to his wife via social media, after his former manager alleged that he sexually assaulted her.

“I want to publicly apologize to my wife, Alexis, for humiliating her with my affair,” he wrote via Instagram. “I’m embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That’s something she did not deserve at all. I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father.”

According to a lawsuit filed by the 25-year-old woman, management group Wide Open Music knew Allen was a threat to female subordinates and didn’t “protect her from, the extreme sexual harassment, abuse, grooming, and manipulation she would endure in order to keep her job,” per the lawsuit.

In April, Jimmie and Alexis Allen announced that they were separating and expecting their third child together. They were wed back in 2021 and share two daughters.

“I challenge everyone to seek help when they need it. Do not be afraid of your weakness, surround yourself with people that WILL help you.”
