Jim Jones is inviting Cam’ron to take their long-running feud back to the Verzuz stage.
In a recent Instagram post, Jones called for a new head-to-head with Cam’ron, saying he wants to do “a verse against him since he made us lose our last verses at the Apollo.”
He also told followers to “call Swizz lol,” to make sure that the head-to-head goes down on Swizz’s watch. He also asked for it to happen “right in Harlem,” while saying Cam’ron has not been there in a while.
Cam and Capo’s beef has been going on for some years, but it gathered steam recently after Cam’ron teamed up with 50 Cent, who has repeatedly mocked Jones online. Jones has called Cam’ron soft, while Cam’ron has questioned Jones’ ties to Harlem.
The Apollo mention ties back to Dipset’s bruising Verzuz against The Lox in August 2021. Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch dominated the night in the eyes of many viewers and, in their eyes, won the battle, while Dipset took heat for using backing vocals. Jones later said Cam’ron forgot his freestyle near the end of the event.
Jones has had success on his own with a catalog that includes “We Fly High,” “Pop Champagne,” and “Certified Gangstas.” Cam’ron has also enjoyed solo success with his biggest hits being“Hey Ma,” “Horse & Carriage,” and “What Means the World to You.”
