Jill Zarin will no longer appear in the upcoming E! series The Golden Life following backlash over her comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
Zarin later expressed disappointment over the outcome. “They didn’t even give me a chance,” she said, adding that she took the video down immediately. “People make mistakes. I’m human.”
Producers at Blink49 Studios confirmed the decision in a statement, saying they chose not to move forward after Zarin’s recent public remarks. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the studio said.
The move came after Zarin shared and quickly deleted an Instagram video criticizing the halftime show, which she described as political and questioned for its lack of white performers. Although the post was removed within hours, it spread rapidly online and sparked criticism from fans and fellow Bravo stars.
The Golden Life was set to reunite several former Real Housewives of New York City personalities, including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan.
While some viewers supported the decision, others defended Zarin online.
A source close to the situation said she remained optimistic. “This won’t keep her down,” the source shared. “People love her, and that hasn’t changed.”
