Jennifer Lopez is living it up and enjoying the single life!
The actress and singer, 56, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, and Jimmy Kimmel asked about her love life following her split from Ben Affleck.
When Kimmel asked if she was single, Lopez did not hesitate.
“Yes! I shoulda done it sooner!” she said. “I’ve been doing it all wrong. I’ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.”
Kimmel then floated the idea of Lopez leading The Bachelorette, but she shut that down immediately.
“Are you crazy?” Lopez replied. She said she is “not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now,” before calling single life “fantastic.”
The “On the Floor” singer filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 after two years of marriage. Their love story had stretched across decades. Lopez and Affleck were first engaged in the early 2000s, called off their planned 2003 wedding, and later ended their relationship in January 2004. They found their way back to each other in 2021 after Lopez’s split from Alex Rodriguez, then married in July 2022.
She was heartbroken, but the pair have been spotted hanging out together as friends, and there does not appear to be any bad blood between them.
Lopez has also been married to Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twins Max and Emme, 18. Anthony and Lopez were married from 2004 to 2014. Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, and the couple shares three children.
“I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day if they’re good enough,” she told Kimmel, adding, “I’m good. I’m good right now where I’m at.”
