Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from her husband Ben Affleck after more than two years of marriage.
Lopez filed for divorce yesterday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to court documents.
According to sources, Lopez filed the paperwork because Ben was reportedly not interested in making their marriage work.
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself,” a source told PEOPLE.
Over the past few months, there have been various reports from sources as to why the couple came to an end. Lopez’s need to always be in the spotlight and even allegedly setting up paparazzi shots was mentioned. Affleck was also not a fan of her movie, This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, which was loosely based on their relationship.
“Bennifer” were married in Las Vegas in July 2022 after breaking up more than 20 years earlier. They have no children together and have no prenup in place.
