RHOSLC star Jen shah has been sentenced to more than 6 years in prison for her part in a nationwide marketing scam.
On top of the 6 and a half year sentence, Jen will have to serve five years of supervised release. Jen pleaded guilty in July but was hoping for a much shorter sentence.
“Jen Shah deeply regrets the mistakes that she has made and is profoundly sorry to the people she has hurt. Jen has faith in our justice system, understands that anyone who breaks the law will be punished, and accepts this sentence as just,” Shah’s lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said in a statement. “Jen will pay her debt to society and when she is a free woman again, she vows to pay her debt to the victims harmed by her mistakes.”
The government alleged she and her co-conspirators victimized “thousands of innocent people.” Shah will also forfeit $6.5 million and pay restitution up to $9.5 million. The prosection wanted Jen to do at least 10 years in prison.
