Following his recent stay at a mental health clinic, Jax Taylor, star of Vanderpump Rules spinoff The Valley, says he is hoping that he and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, can co-parent their three-year-old son, Cruz, together “amicably.”
Last month, Brittany filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” but viewers of the Bravo show had seen cracks in their union, with Jax often throwing mean jabs at his wife, even insulting her looks.
“I understand why she did, and I agree that this is the right decision for our family,” he said on his When Reality Hits podcast.
“I will always love and care for Brittany, I mean, she’s the mother of my beautiful son,” he continued.
“All I want for us is to be amicable co-parents and even hopefully really, really good friends one day. I know I’m an amazing father and I know that I will make an excellent ex-husband,” he continued.
Taylor revealed he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD in treatment.
