Jax Taylor is breaking his silence after estranged wife Brittany Cartwright obtained a temporary restraining order against him and accused him of threatening to “gut” her “like a f–ken [sic] fish.”
The Vanderpump Rules alum said in a recent statement that he regrets how he behaved during what he called one of the worst periods of his life.
“I made a lot of mistakes and behaved in ways during that period of my life that I’m truly ashamed of and regret and take full responsibility for,” said Jax.
He added that “there are allegations being made that I strongly dispute,” saying the details will be addressed “where it belongs – in court.”

Brittany alleged in her Aug. 27 filing that Jax subjected her to “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse” and physical violence during their relationship. She also accused him of threatening to kill her, damaging electronics and property, and accessing her phone and social media without permission.
Jax, 47, said he is now “1 year and 9 months sober” and remains committed to treatment and therapy.
“My focus continues to be my sobriety, working on my mental health, being the best father I can be to Cruz and moving forward in a healthy and responsible way,” Jax added.

Jax must stay 100 yards away from Brittany until a September 17 hearing.
