Brittany Cartwright says her divorce from former Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor is still dragging on, as the former couple continues to battle over finances and their family home.
The Valley personality recently told Entertainment Tonight that unresolved issues involving the house have repeatedly delayed the divorce, but she is desperately trying to move things along.
“That’s why our divorce is taking so long, by the way: The house,” Brittany told the outlet. “There’s another one in July, so fingers crossed.”
Brittany also claimed she has been making monthly payments to pay off Jax’s taxes while trying to keep stability for their son, Cruz.
“I really wanted Cruz to be stable and in his home, in his happy place,” she explained.
Jax pushed back against those allegations through his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, who denied that Brittany was covering his tax bills.
“She is not paying any of Jax’s tax liability,” Kaplan said in a statement to ET, adding that the home remains community property shared by both parties. While discussing life after the breakup, Brittany admitted co-parenting with Jax has been difficult.
“It’s not easy,” she shared. “We both want to put Cruz first.”
Brittany later revealed that she is casually dating again after splitting from her boyfriend, Brandon Hanson.
