Jax Taylor claims his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, cost him a $175,000 payday by contacting Fox and objecting to his casting on Special Forces.
In a restraining order filing, the Vanderpump Rules alum alleged he had been hired for the competition series in April but was dropped days before filming after Cartwright allegedly contacted the network and criticized it for “giving a platform to an abuser.”
Taylor also claimed Cartwright threatened public backlash if Fox moved forward with him.
The lost job has allegedly left Taylor in a difficult financial position. His filing states he “has no employment and no employment prospects” and that his only regular income is a $5,000 monthly deal set to expire in November.
“His savings are rapidly diminishing,” the filing reads. “His mental and emotional calm, rebuilt at great personal cost through recovery, has been destroyed.”
Taylor further accused Cartwright of using her podcast, Instagram and television appearances “to demean and humiliate” him. He also alleged she had physically attacked him on multiple occasions, claims that have not been proven in court.
Cartwright was granted a temporary restraining order against Taylor last week after making her own abuse allegations, including claims of coercive control and emotional and psychological abuse. Taylor has denied some of those allegations and said he plans to provide the “full story, context and evidence” in court.
