Jassi Rideaux is opening up about her falling-out with Stacey Rusch and questioning the authenticity of Stacey’s friendships on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
During an appearance on the podcast The Reality Rundown, Jassi did not hold back when asked where she stands with her former friend. “Oh my God, this woman, she’s a person that I never knew,” Jassi said. “I think that Stacey is the kind of person that it’s like, ‘I’m climbing to the top. Sorry I had to step on you to get there.’”
Jassi claimed Stacey formed relationships with cast members for strategic reasons. “No, not genuine,” she said of Stacey’s friendships. “The relationships that she formed with those people who are on the platform before the platform was to get on the platform.”
A major point of tension centered on whether Stacey would attend Jassi’s wedding to Darius Harris. Jassi said she heard from others that Stacey did not want to go. “Stacey told me, ‘Girl, of course I would love to make it to your wedding,’” Jassi recalled. “She said she had to focus on filming her business.”
Jassi later learned a different story. “[She] was actually telling Ashley and Wendy, ‘Girl, I ain’t going to that wedding,’” Jassi said, referencing Ashley Darby and Wendy Osefo.
According to Jassi, Stacey ultimately attended after being warned she would look like “a horrible friend” if she skipped it.
