Jada Pinkett Smith Seeks 6-Hour Psych Exam for Man Suing Her for $3 Million!

Jada Pinkett Smith is asking a judge to let a psychiatrist examine the former Smith family friend who claims she caused him serious emotional harm.

Bilaal Salaam is seeking $3 million from Pinkett Smith, alleging that she threatened and intimidated him, but her legal team says his own claims put his psychological condition directly at issue.

Court papers obtained by TMZ show Pinkett Smith wants Salaam to undergo an independent mental health evaluation that could take five to six hours.

Salaam has claimed the alleged conduct affected him far beyond the courtroom and says fear forced him to live outside the United States for an extended period, contributed to the end of a long-term relationship and damaged his physical health.

Pinkett Smith’s attorneys argue those allegations make a psychiatric exam relevant to determining the extent and cause of his alleged distress.

The dispute stems from an alleged 2021 confrontation. Salaam has said Pinkett Smith threatened him after he spoke about private Smith family affairs, and he later claimed people connected to the couple retaliated against him.

Pinkett Smith denies his allegations.

The lawsuit has already lost some of its original claims. A judge previously granted part of Pinkett Smith’s anti-SLAPP motion, while Salaam’s attempt to revise his complaint was rejected in August as untimely.

Salaam has also sought testimony from Will Smith and has tried to pull him further into the case, although the current suit remains focused on Jada.

A judge has not yet approved the requested examination. A hearing has been set for Nov. 9.
