Cam’ron and Ma$e recently reviewed boxer Shakur Stevenson’s title fight against Artem Harutyunyan, calling the bout “boring” on their It Is What Is It podcast…and J. Prince is not happy about it.
“Somebody said on Instagram, ‘If I never see Shakur Stevenson fight again, that’s too soon.’ I did the right thing. It was on ESPN so I recorded it and my n-gga said, ‘Nah,’ so I didn’t have to watch it,” Cma said during the segment.
“I got home, seen the 11th, 12th round and saw n-ggas walking out. Them n-ggas was booing! I’m like, ‘Yo, you’re at home [in Newark] and they’re booing you.’”
Stevenson responded by accusing the rappers of having “failed rap careers”and said they were not “rap legends.”
After Stevenson’s rap, J. Prince shared a snippet of the fight’s ratings, which was not pay-per-view but free on ESPN.
“NUMBERS DONT LIE HATERS DO,” he began in in Instagram post.
He continued, “”Let the haters say that he’s boring and nobody wants to watch him. Sorry to tell you it’s just a select few of you haters. As you can see there’s proof that he has the number one ratings in any fight on ESPN this year and the top three ratings since 2022. And to all of you haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the ring I’m Shakur’s manager and I handle all his business outside of the ring. In other words Cam and Mase I will fade all his shots and take all bets.”
Now fans speculate that this could actually turn into a real beef, but is J. Prince overreacting considering Cam and Ma$e were just doing their jobs?
