Donald Trump is being sued by the estate of the late singer Isaac Hayes by playing one of his songs at his rallies without permission.
Trump has been using Hayes’ song “Hold On, I’m Coming” at rallies and the family of the musical icon do not want to be linked with the former Republican president.
“We the family of @isaachayes Isaac Hayes Enterprises, represented by Walker & Associates, are suing @realDonaldTrump and his campaign for 134 counts [of] copyright infringement for the unauthorized use of the song ‘Hold On I’m Coming’ at campaign rallies from 2022-2024,” the family wrote, asking for the “the cessation of use, removal of all related videos, a public disclaimer, and payment of $3 million in licensing fees by Aug. 16, 2024.”

If Trump does not comply, he will be hit with yet another lawsuit.
Trump also received backlash from Celine Dion after he played “My Heart Will Go On” at a rally. Her team quickly released a statement to make it clear that Trump did not have permission and that the singer in no way endorses Trump.
