Irv Gotti’s legal team have released a statement addressing a recent filed against him by an ex-girlfriend alleging sexual assault and abuse.
Last week, an unidentified woman alleged Gotti raped and abused her between 2020 and 2022.
According to the lawsuit, she met Irv Gotti at a poker game before he invited her on a vacation to St. Martin. She alleges her coerced her into having sex with him and that “Gotti specifically threatened Plaintiff that he would send her home if she did not comply with his demands. She complied due to his power and influence in the music world.”
She said after the vacation, they were then in a relationship which was abusive throughout.
“[The suit] was filed after Mr. Gotti rejected the attempt by this individual to coerce a payment of money from him. The lawsuit contains a single page of ‘facts’ which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies,” the statement reads per TMZ.
“The allegations represent an affront to women who have truly suffered abuse. Mr. Gotti has been surrounded by strong women the entirety of his life — his mother, five sisters, and daughter. The top employees at his company are women. Mr. Gotti’s relationships with women have been characterized by mutual respect, honesty, and empathy. Mr. Gotti’s reputation has been placed at issue.”
Gotti is reportedly considering suing Jane Doe for defamation.
