The trans community in Atlanta is growing, and getting more and more unclockable. These days, it’s virtually impossible for anyone to tell whether an Atlanta woman is trans, or whether she was born with female body parts.
Media Take Out attended the 5th Annual Mayor’s Global Black Pride gala where a lot of popular trans influencers attended. And two of the ladies at the event really stole the show – makeup artists Tokyo Stylez and Simone Tisci .
These two have developed styles and techniques that are being used all across the city – and the world. And in addition to helping out clients who are born females, the ladies have revolutionized makeup and styling for trans women.
Just look at them. They look like the newest cast members on the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Tokyo is a transgender hairstylist and wigmaker originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She is best known for her appearances on E!’s Keeping up with the Kardashians and Life of Kylie as Kylie Jenner’s personal hairstylist.
She has also styled Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union, Nicki Minaj, Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, Lil’ Kim, Doja Cat, Bethenny Frankel, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B.
Recently she’s helped a number of prominent Atlanta trans-people with their styling.
Simone Tisci is a make up artist and member of the House of Tisci in season two of Legendary.
Her other House members include Mother Gia Tisci, Dro Tisci, Stanley Tisci, and Tray Tisci.
Outside the show, but still in the Ballroom Scene, she is part of the West Coast Chapter of the House of Tisci. By January 2024 she was deemed “Legendary”.
