Ime Udoka released a statement apologizing after receiving a one-year suspension from the Celtics.
Udoka has been suspended for the entire 2022–23 season for “violating team policies.” He was allegedly involved in an “improper” consensual relationship with a female member of the team’s staff.
“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down,” Udoka said. “I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”
Udoka’s alleged side piece has not been named publicly but, Media Take Out learned that the woman is NOT Vice-President of Player Development and Organizational Growth Allison Feaster. She is not involved in the matter whatsoever.
Udoka spent 10 years as an assistant before arriving in Boston. He then led the Celtics to a 51–31 record and their first NBA finals appearance. He is engaged to Hollywood actress Nia Long and the two have a child together.
