Ice Spice released her album, Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl, the deluxe version of her 2024 album, but fans are shocked to see that the project only managed to move 4,800 units in its first week.
The original version of the album debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart, with 28,000 album-equivalent units, which is still higher than her 2023 EP Like..?, which sold 15,000 units.
Speaking to Billboard, she revealed that Y2K! was not a big deal for her.
“I think people try to put that pressure on me just because I have been so successful,” she told the outlet. “I don’t really put too much weight into it. Of course, I appreciate it and I prefer it, but it’s not a make-or-break for me. I’m just happy with the album I made.”
Ice Spice is still one fo the hottest rappers out, but her popularity has waned as some fans feel that her songs all sound the same. Her drastic weight loss has also led to some harsh criticism.
