Ice Spice’s father, Joseph Gaston, hopped on social media to respond to comments made by his daughter’s former friend, Cleotrapa, that her father is not really Black but that he’s Hispanic instead.
Gaston says that Cleotrapa’s facts are wrong and even revealed that he’d only met her twice.
“We met twice in the green room. We barely spoke, who said I’m Hispanic?” He further clarified his identity, saying, “Ken I’m gonna dead this right here. I’m a black man. Born and raised in the BX. Keep me out this bullsh-t,” he tweeted.
Before deleting the tweets, Gaston, who admitted that he does have some Latino members in his family, shared that he has Ghanaian, Ivorian, Senegalese, Malian, Cameroonian and Taino heritage.
It’s been a rough week for Ice Spice after Cleotrapa revealed that she believes she was asked on tour to help cleanup the rapper’s image after she was exposed by another former friend, Baby Storme, for dissing Nicki Minaj and making colorist remarks.
Meanwhile, the rapper, who has been losing social media followers by the thousands each day, continued to troll Cleotrapa.
