Ice Spice and Latto have been throwing shots at each other for months, but in a recent interview, Ice Spice claimed that she really doesn’t have any issue with the Atlanta rapper.

“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” she told Rolling Stone.

The rapper admits that her song, “Think U The Sh-t (Fart)” was about Latto but says that Latto bringing out a poop emoji-shaped birthday cake last month at a Hot 107.9’s event in Atlanta was going too far.

She continued, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like, at this point, it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Sh-t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of sh-t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me … again.”

Ice Spice first gained major recognition in late 2022 with her song “Munch (Feelin’ U)”, which achieved viral popularity on TikTok. After signing with 10K Projects in a joint venture with Capitol Records, she released the follow-up singles “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood” in promotion for her debut extended play (EP), Like..? (2023). The EP contained the Billboard Hot 100-charting song “Gangsta Boo” (featuring Lil Tjay), spawned the single “Princess Diana” (with Nicki Minaj), and contained the single “Deli” on its deluxe edition. She saw further mainstream success with her collaborative singles that same year; “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” (with PinkPantheress), “Karma” (with Taylor Swift), and “Barbie World” (with Nicki Minaj and Aqua) each peaked within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, making Ice Spice the first rapper to release four songs which did so that year. Her 2024 single, “Think U the Shit (Fart)” is preceding the release of her forthcoming debut studio album, Y2K.
