New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and NYers are getting to attend some of the best parties in the world Last night Doja Cat and Ice Spice were at the Jean Paul Gaultier SSENSE Party together, looking great.
Ice Spice wore a very cute dress, and Doja wore … well see for yourself. We warn you, it’s pretty revealing.
Ice Spice is a rapper. She grew up in the Bronx, New York City, and began her career in 2021 after meeting record producer RiotUSA.
Ice Spice rose to prominence in late 2022 with her song “Munch (Feelin’ U)”, which achieved viral popularity on TikTok. She followed it up with singles “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood”, leading up to her debut extended play, Like..? (2023). She achieved her first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with the Lil Tjay collaboration “Gangsta Boo”. Her collaborations “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” (with PinkPantheress), “Princess Diana” (with Nicki Minaj), “Karma” (with Taylor Swift), and “Barbie World” (with Minaj and Aqua) peaked within the top 10 of the Hot 100; she is the artist with the most Hot 100 top-five singles in 2023.
Doja Cat is a rapper and singer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Doja Cat began making and releasing music on SoundCloud. Her song “So High” caught the attention of Kemosabe and RCA Records, with which she signed a joint record deal before releasing her debut EP Purrr! in 2014.
After a hiatus from releasing music and the uneventful rollout of her debut studio album, Amala (2018), Doja Cat earned viral success as an internet meme with her 2018 single “Mooo!”, a novelty song in which she makes humorous claims about being a cow. Capitalizing on her growing popularity, she released her second studio album, Hot Pink, in the following year. It later reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and spawned the single “Say So”, of which the remix, featuring Nicki Minaj, topped the Billboard Hot 100. Her third album, entitled Planet Her (2021), spent three consecutive weeks at number two on the Billboard 200 and spawned the top 10 singles “Kiss Me More” (featuring SZA), “Need to Know”, and “Woman”. Her fourth studio album, Scarlet, is slated for release on September 22, 2023. It was preceded by international number-one single “Paint the Town Red”.
