Ice Cube is distancing himself from remarks Kanye West made during Drink Champs.

“You know, Cube’s really set me up for this,” Ye said to N.O.R.E., adding that Cube “really influenced” him to “get on this antisemite vibe.”

On Twitter, Cube told fans he did not do this and that he has no idea what Ye was speaking of.

“I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bullsh-t,” Cube tweeted “I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him. I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.”

The interview has been removed from Youtube. It is reported that the family of George Floyd may be suing West for as much as $250 million. N.O.R.E. apologized for the interview saying that while he regrets the interview, as “a journalist” he “succeeded.”
