Yesterday, olympic gymnast Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens was interviewed on the Pivot Podcast and told the story on how he and Simone met.
In the interview, Media Take Out confirmed that Jonathan said a bunch of potentially troubling things – like explaining how when Simone reached out to him “he was the prize,” and that he didn’t know who Simone was when they met.
Well Media Take Out did a bit of digging, and it turns out that Jonathan was being less then truthful about not knowing who Simone was.
First off in 2019, Simone led the Houston Texans football team (where Jonathan played) out of the tunnel. And he was right behind her. Look:
In the interview, Jonathan claimed that he was not a fan of gymnastics – so he didn’t know who Simone was. Turns out the lie detector says that was a lie also. Media Take Out dug up some of Jonathan’s old tweets, and he was actively tweeting about the US female gymnastics team – and former Black female gymnast Gabby Douglas.
