An allegedly downlow man from Grand Rapids Michigan has been accused of m*rdering his wife, after she reportedly caught him with a secret gay side dude, Media Take Out has learned.
Marcus Durayalle Lofton was arraigned Friday, Aug. 18 on charges of open m*rder and felony firearm. He is currently being held in jail without bond.
According to police, Marcus is believed to have sh*t and k*lled his wife Alicia Danielle Lofton, after she filed to divorce him.
And now for the tea. According to Alicia’s friends on social media, she caught her new husband having a secret gay relationship with a man. Marcus was allegedly exposed on a Facebook page, entitled “Who’s Man Is This” – which Media Take Out confirmed is a page dedicated to outing downlow men.
On the “Who’s Man Is This” page, a man who looked strikingly similar to Marcus was secretly recorded having an intimate encounter with a gay man. The gay man in the video later posted the video on Facebook, and Alicia found out about it and filed for divorce.
Two days after Alicia filed for divorce, Grand Rapids police say in their report that on Aug. 17, they responded to a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Alicia Lofton laying in a pool of bl**d. She was later pronounced d**d by paramedics.
Detectives then interviewed Marcus Lofton. He allegedly told them that his wife — whom Marcus just married in February — had served him divorce papers on Aug. 16 and she told him she was selling the house.
Marcus had recently been charged with beating Alicia, and she had a restraining order against him. But he came to her home and started an argument, that led to the alleged sh**ting.
Marcus Lofton told detectives that couple argued, and then he grabbed Alicia’s pistol, a Glock, from a drawer and tried to strike her with it.
“Marcus stated he shot Alicia numerous times before he fled in his maroon SUV,” police wrote in the affidavit.
