Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant are sharing their unfiltered thoughts on Ashley Darby’s latest storyline on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
On a recent episode of their podcast Two Reasonably Shady, they reacted to Ashley’s revelation that she hooked up with Charrisse Jackson-Jordan’s son, Jackson. Ashley admitted the encounter may have gone beyond kissing.
Robyn called the situation “disrespectful,” while Gizelle questioned whether Charrisse’s intense reaction came later because of the online backlash after the episode aired.
“Did the internet gas her up?” Gizelle asked, suggesting Charrisse’s initial calm response did not match her later outrage.
The controversy escalated after Ashley shared on Watch What Happens Live that she and Jackson hooked up more than once, including sneaking around Charrisse’s home. Charrisse later addressed the situation publicly, labeling Ashley’s behavior “incestuous” and saying she felt betrayed by a friend crossing a boundary involving her child.
Ashley previously recalled how the connection began, saying Jackson once walked her home and surprised her with a kiss. Charrisse initially laughed it off on camera.
“Ashley has been lying for ten years. So when she’s saying this to me, I’m honestly waiting for the prank or … I did not believe her. In my head, I’m thinking, I know she is not that desperate for a storyline that she’s bringing my son into this,” Charisse told Carlos King.
Ashley was quick to clap back.
“I will say I appreciate people who maintain the same energy that they had during the season in the offseason. I find it very odd for people to get buck when the cameras go down,” she said. “Very strange behavior to me, number one. Number two, I am a consenting adult, thankfully, consenting, who only engages with other consenting adults.”
