YoungBoy Never Broke Again invoked the death of Gillie Da Kid’s son in a new song snippet this week, shocking fans.
The clip surfaced on social media earlier this week and included a line aimed directly at Gillie. “Had thought bout killin’ Gillie, but that b—h ain’t kill none about his son,” YoungBoy rapped.
NBA YoungBoy had some words about Gillie in his new song:

YoungBoy had previously joined Gillie and Wallo for a friendly appearance on their Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, so fans were surprised by the blatant disrespect.
Gillie’s son, YNG Cheese, was killed in a 2023 shooting in Philadelphia. In 2025, Gillie said police had told him drill rapper Noah Scurry was responsible. Scurry was fatally shot earlier that year.
After the snippet began circulating, Gillie addressed it during an Instagram Live. He said that any serious action involving his son would never be announced online.

“I’m an old school n—a,” Gillie said. “We don’t say what we was going to do on the internet and all that type of s–t. That’s kid s–t. Like if you were going to do something, you would’ve done it.”
“I don’t take it no type of way,” he continued. “You can’t make me feel no type of way mentioning my son. I already come to grips with what happened,” he said, adding that he doesn’t feel threatened.
