Gilbert Arenas isn’t shying away from rumors that he snitched on Portland Trail Blazers’ Chauncey Billups, leading to his arrest.
On Thursday morning, Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier, and former Cleveland Cavaliers player Damon Jones were all arrested in a federal sports betting sting. Billups was arrested and charged in an illicit poker operation connected to the Mafia.

The arrest comes just months after Arenas was arrested on a federal indictment and accused of running an illegal gambling enterprise alongside five other individuals. The timeline led some fans to speculate that Arenas may have snitched on his fellow athletes because as soon as he was released on bail, he took to social media and posted the hashtag #SnitchingGilComingSOON.
Following Billups’ arrest, Arenas wasted no time playing up to the rumors and appeared on his Gil’s Arena podcast dancing while holding a bag marked “Informant Lunch.”
“This is my lunch, man, I didn’t get to eat it over there, I was talking too much,” Arenas said. “The Blazers wasn’t gonna win anyway, the last thing they needed was their coach.”
Despite the laughter, fans believe Arenas is serious about turning on Billups.
