Garcelle Beauvais Shuts Down Possible Bravo Return

Garcelle Beauvais says walking away from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was not a sudden decision, even if it surprised viewers.

During a recent appearance on The Julia Cunningham Show on Radio Andy, Beauvais shared that she officially confirmed her exit during a private conversation with Andy Cohen after season 14 wrapped.

“He checked in on me and texted, but I really wanted to have a one-on-one with him because I respect him,” Garcelle explained. “I really wanted to say it to him personally that my run has come to an end.”

The actress also ruled out returning to Bravo for a future Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season.

“No,” Garcelle continued. “It’s not of interest.”

Later, while speaking at People Inc. Black Affinity Group’s Legacy Chat series in New York City, the beauty reflected on how dramatically the show changed her public profile after she joined the cast.

“I had no idea that me being announced was going to go, like, crazy viral,” she recalled, adding that a friend once called to tell her she was trending on Twitter.

Although she gave credit to the series for introducing her to a larger audience, she realized she no longer felt emotionally connected to the experience or to her castmates.

“My spirit was no longer there,” she said. “I couldn’t do it anymore.”

“If the show is based on friendships, I didn’t have any friends on that show anymore,” she said, in reference to the last reunion where her former bestie, Sutton Stracke, failed to have her back..
