Drake and Future are beefing, and that’s clear from the numerous shots that Drake’s former BFF threw at him on his new album. Well Media Take Out learned that at the center of the drama between the two rappers – is Afrobeats artist Tems.
According to two sources – one close to Drake and one close to Future – both rappers were enamored by the gorgeous singer while creating their hit song Wait For U.
And the two rappers fell out, because neither was willing to concede – and allow the other to pursue Tems.
One extremely well placed insider explained, “Drake and Future both fell for Tems while recording. They recorded a bunch of songs together [not just Wait For U], and they both spent a lot of time with her in the studio.”
The insider continued, “Both of them were wining and dining Tems, spending money on her and promising her the world.”
But Tems, who is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer, decided that she wanted to keep the relationship between each man strictly professional. The insider continued, “Tems was kind of feeling both [Future and Drake], but she didn’t want to mess things up professionally – so she decided not to pursue anything with either.”
Unfortunately, our other insider claims that when Tems turned BOTH men down, the two former friends turned on each other.
The second insider told Media Take Out, “Drake and Future are used to getting women, so when Tems turned them both down – they blamed each other – Drake believing that Future was c**k blocking, and Future was thinking the same thing about Drake.”
“It’s a mess, and it’s messing up the music.” Media Take Out is told that Tems, Drake and Future have MORE music together – but unless the two rappers can patch things up, we’ll never hear it.
