Fredro Starr Retiring From Rap!!

Media Take Out Staff |

Onyx rapper Fredro Starr revealed he’s planning on retiring from rap after this year.

He says his retirement will even mean that he won’t be giving up any guest verses.

“You supposed to say: ‘I’m gonna retire.’ You gotta make the comeback. Michael Jordan did it. Guess what? I’m retiring too this year. After this year, I’m done. All jokes in side pocket,” Fredro said on The Dr. Greenthumb Show.

He added: “I’m retiring man. Thirty years of Hip Hop. This is the last year. I’m retiring. Don’t call me for no verses, nothing. I might do a show here and there.”

Fredro Starr is an American rapper and actor best known as a member of the hardcore rap group Onyx who was discovered by the late Jam Master Jay of Run-D.M.C. Onyx released three top selling albums before Fredro began his solo career.

Several rappers have announced they had retired in the past, including Jay-Z and Logic…but quickly returned.
