Fredo Bang sat down with Vlad TV where he was asked about his good friend, YNW Melly, who is currently on trial for double murder.
Melly’s last trial was declared a mistrial.
“I felt bad. I know a lot of people who have been in a situation like that — waiting years and years and years,” said Fredo. “I just feel bad because I know he’s ready to get it over with.”
He continued: “We ain’t even talked in a minute, because they stripped him of all his phone privileges, and stuff. He can’t even use the phone. So it’s been a very long time since I talked to him.”
Melly is accused of killing two fellow rappers, Christopher “Juvy” Thomas Jr and Anthony “Sakchaser” Williams, who were shot inside a Jeep driven by their friend, Cortland “YNW Bortlen” Henry. Prosecutors say he then tried to cover up his alleged crimes by trying to make it look like a drive-by.
Florida prosecutors are also planning to introduce his lyrics into evidence. If found guilty, he could face the death penalty.
