It is with a sad and heavy heart that Media Take Out reports that Floyd Mayweather’s most trusted confident Marikit “Kitchie” Laurico died suddenly on Friday, March 31, after feeling ill the day before. She was 47.
Kitchie was well known in entertainment circles, as the boxing great’s most trusted advisor. She was responsible behind the scenes with helping Floyd develop his empire. She was a friend to many, including many of the staff here at Media Take Out. And she will be sorely missed.
Initial reports are that she died of natural causes after suffering a heart attack.
Kitchie was considered Mayweather’s most loyal and trusted confidant and business partner. They traveled the world together and she handled every aspect of his life – often arranging multi million dollar business deals for the superstar boxer.
Kitchie emigrated from the Philippines at age 11. She later studied marketing and public relations in college. She met Floyd Mayweather and quickly rose the ranks to become one of the highest ranking members of the TMT empire.
Our deepest condolences to Kitchie’s family, her TMT family, and Floyd Mayweather – who is undoubtedly taking this very hard.
