Floyd Mayweather is selling legal help at the same time he is dealing with major courtroom problems himself.
The 50-0 boxing legend launched The Money Team Legal Network nationwide on Aug. 27, turning his longtime brand into a service designed to connect potential clients with attorneys.
The company is built around Mayweather’s undefeated image, with one slogan declaring, “50-0. Never lost. Never will. Now, I’m bringing that same energy to your corner.”
Mayweather is also appearing directly in advertisements for the business.
“Car crash, personal injury victims, if you want to get paid, you need lawyers who fight,” he says in one video.
He also tells viewers the network works with attorneys who obtain “multi-million dollar settlements” and promises “there are no fees until you get paid.”
Mayweather is currently fighting several legal and financial disputes.
In Las Vegas, he faces two felony charges involving allegations that he used a $200,000 check with insufficient funds to obtain a luxury watch. The case has not been resolved.
He is also dealing with multimillion-dollar civil claims and a reported $7.3 million IRS tax lien.
Mayweather has gone on offense in court, too. He is pursuing a $340 million lawsuit against Showtime Networks and a former executive over alleged “misappropriated funds.” He has denied the allegations.
