Florida Considering Death Penalty for Rapper Foolio’s M*rder Suspects

The state of Florida is considering the death penalty for the suspects in the murder of rapper Julio Foolio.

Foolio was shot and killed while he was in Tampa, Florida, celebrating his 26th birthday. The rapper was tracked after he posted an Airbnb he had booked on Instagram. He was asked him to leave because he had too many people staying at the apartment and moved the party to a local Holiday Inn, which he shared on his Instagram Stories.

At a pretrial hearing, Rashad Murphy’s attorney told the judge, “We have not received notice yet, but we potentially contemplate that their may be a notice filed by state, seeking death.”

The state attorney confirmed that they are seeking the death penalty for all of the suspects.

Isaiah Chance, 21; Sean Gathright, 18; and Alicia Andrews, 21, entered their not-guilty pleas in August and await trial.

Andrews and Chance have been charged with premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm, while Gathright is charged with two counts of premeditated murder with a firearm, three counts of first-degree attempted premeditated murder with a firearm and tampering with physical evidence.

Fourth suspect, Rashad Murphy, 30, surrendered in July after a standoff with sheriff’s deputies. Davion Murphy, the fifth suspect, is still on the run.
