The mother of rapper Flo Rida’s 6-year-old disabled son has filed a lawsuit after he fell five stories from a window of their Jersey City building earlier this month.
According to Alexis Adams, the building had “windows that posed a hazardous condition,” allowing her son to fall onto the concrete pavement.
“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces,” Adams wrote in a written statement. “I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved In failing to take necessary safety measures.”
The boy suffered several injuries, a shattered pelvis, lacerated liver and collapsed lungs.
The lawsuit requests “damages, together with interest, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, payment of all medical bills, and any other relief the court deems just.”
