Shia LaBeouf can no longer use disputed confidentiality restrictions to challenge what FKA twigs says about their relationship.
The former couple has resolved their latest legal fight, with the actor, 40, agreeing to void the contested provisions of their previous settlement.
According to an Oct. 5 Los Angeles court filing, Twigs, 38, can now discuss her experiences and support charitable causes “without fear of reprisal.”
Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, issued a statement to PEOPLE. “Twigs stood up for something larger than herself, all female survivors of sexual abuse,” he told the publication.
Twigs previously accused LaBeouf of sexual battery and assault in a December 2020 lawsuit.
LaBeouf denied the allegations, and the two settled in July 2025.
But their legal troubles resurfaced after Twigs spoke about her personal safety during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“No, I wouldn’t say I feel safe,” she said.
LaBeouf alleged that the remarks breached their settlement’s confidentiality terms and sought monetary damages. Twigs fought back, arguing that California law protected her right to discuss alleged sexual misconduct.
LaBeouf’s attorney, Shawn Holley, confirmed that the actor agreed to end the dispute.
“Twigs has spoken about this matter for years and there is now nothing to prevent her from continuing to do so,” Holley told PEOPLE.
