Pictures of Fetty Wap behind bars have been posted on the internet and the rapper has cut his locks short and put on some weight too.
In May the rapper was sentenced to six years in prison for his part in a drug smuggling conspiracy involving heroin, fentanyl and other drugs in New Jersey. Back in August, Fetty pleaded guilty in August to conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances pertaining to cocaine, which carried a mandatory five years in prison.
At the time, his attorney blamed the pandemic for his drug dealing.
Elizabeth Macedonio stated, “In or about 2020, with the coming of the worldwide pandemic, things began to change for Mr. Maxwell. There were no opportunities to perform, thus his income was severely limited.” She added that the New Jersey rapper “ was sued personally, was going through a divorce, and was involved with a tour manager who was stealing from him,” adding that he “lost his grandparents and several other people who were close to him.”
