Fetty Wap sent a message to his fans from jail as he awaits sentencing for drug trafficking charges.
“Ayo, yo, what’s good, man, you already know it’s your boy Fetty Wap 1738, you heard. I just want to thank all the fans. You feel me? All the fans showing me love, sending all the reels and the stories and everything and all the tags, photos and everything like that you heard,” he says.
“You know I got my head up always, you know what I’m saying? Like never bend, never fold, I love y’all thank y’all for everything you know what I’m saying.”
In August, the rapper pleaded guilty to a conspiracy drug charge and now he’s facing up to five years in prison.
He was arrested last October on charges alleging he was part of a drug ring that smuggled heroin, fentanyl and other drugs into the New York City area. Fetty pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. If he had not taken a plea deal and was found guilty, he would have faced life in prison.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Fetty Wap will be sentenced on January 18, 2023.
