Prosecutors are now claiming that Lil Durk’s alleged burner phones led directly to the WiFi network inside his Los Angeles home.
During the rapper’s federal trial, the government presented evidence that several phones allegedly connected to Durk shared the residence’s IP address. Prosecutors say that connection continued even after devices were replaced and data, including iCloud information and group chats, was deleted.
The same IP address was also linked to OTF Vonni. Prosecutors say Vonni took an Uber to recover vehicles tied to the 2022 shooting that killed Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, who authorities say was not the alleged intended target.
Prosecutors are also trying to convince jurors that Durk had a personal motive connected to the killing of his friend and OTF associate King Von in 2020.
The jury heard portions of Durk’s podcast appearances in which he discussed calls for retaliation, including references to “Slide for Von.”
The government is also using those comments, along with the phone and vehicle evidence, to support its theory of an alleged murder-for-hire plot.
Durk has pleaded not guilty.
