FBG Duck’s mother is hoping Lil Durk will help her end the violence in Chicago and is asking to join forces.
“@LilDurk as a mother that’s lost her son to this senseless war that’s divided Chicago, I’m proud to see that you are taking steps to bring our city together and stop the violence. You met with [new Mayor Brandon Johnson], now I’m asking that you meet with me and the @MothersOfPeace to take further steps to unite our city,” she wrote on social media.
FBG Duck was shot as many as 21 times on Aug. 4, 2020. His girlfriend and one other person were also injured but survived the bullets. He was standing outside of a store while shopping for his young son’s birthday.
Six alleged members of South Side Chicago’s O-Block gang have been charged with his killing. Chicago police custody told detectives and FBI agents that someone affiliated with the Black Disciples street gang had offered up $50,000 “to anyone that killed Weekly” and later raised the bounty to $100,000.
