Lyndon Abioye |

The father of a teenager accused of shooting and killing PnB Rock denies he was involved in the shooting and even denies being at the restaurant during the robbery.

Freddie Trone, who was charged in connection with the murder, told the court that he “had nothing to do with” the incident even though there is alleged evidence that the 42-year-old the one driving the vehicle (an SUV) at the time of the murder with his 17-year-old son.

“I never had nothing to do with it,” Trone said. “I wasn’t there. I didn’t tell nobody to do nothing. I didn’t hand nobody no gun.”

Trone and his teenage son will both face trial separately. A third man, Tremont Jones, is also standing trial after prosecutors allege that he was the one who informed Trone that PnB Rock would be dining at Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles in South Los Angeles that day.

Trone’s son was recently found “not competent” to stand trial.
