Fans Roast Shamea Morton’s ‘I Told the Storm’ Cover

Shamea Morton is still trying hard to win back the public’s favor and posted a video of her singing Greg O’Quin and Joyful Noise’s iconic song, ‘I Told the Storm… but the reactions were likely not quite what she was hoping for.

While Shamea looked great, her vocals were at times strained and even scratchy.

Fans weigh in.

“I think Shamea just need to take some time away from ALL cameras for minute,” one viewer wrote.

“I see why porsha said “ this ain’t Shamea this drew” she knew the real real,” another viewer wrote, refering to an episode of the show where Porsha claimed she was unable to recognize Shamea’s voice in her new single and assumed it was Drew Sidora’s single.

“Just cause you grow up in church don’t mean you can sing… GAHLEE,’ another commenter chimed in.

Several people in the comments questioned whether she would still post this video after playing it back.

Shamea, who tried to launch her solo career during her debut season as a full-time peach holder on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, faced backlash for her actions during filming, which ultimately led to her falling out with former bestie, Porsha Williams.

She is expected to return for Season 17, and even apologized to her fellow Housewives for any offense caused during filming Season 16.
