Fans Call for Neutrogena Boycott Over Hayden Panettiere’s Heartbreaking Postpartum Claim

Hayden Panettiere’s fans are turning on skincare brand Neutrogena, calling for a boycott after resurfacing her claim that the brand cut ties with her over her postpartum depression disclosure.

The actress, who died Sunday at age 36, served as a Neutrogena ambassador for roughly 10 years. In her 2026 memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, she alleged that the company canceled her contract after she revealed on Live! with Kelly and Michael in 2015 that she had received treatment for postpartum depression.

“Neutrogena canceled my long-standing contract,” Panettiere revealed, calling it “yet another blow in a year that had given almost nothing else.”

Her account first sparked criticism when the book arrived in May, and now, following her death, fans began sharing the story again, with some vowing to stop buying Neutrogena products and others filling the company’s social media posts with criticism.

Carole Radziwill joined the backlash, writing, “You deserve the hate. #hayden.”

Panettiere later recalled being stunned that speaking openly about her mental health could affect the partnership.

“I was just being honest,” she told Jay Shetty in May. “Never for a second did I think or care that anyone would have a bad reaction to it. It was my truth.”

She said losing the relationship after a decade with the brand was painful.

“I remember not hearing a word from anybody,” Panettiere said. “I remember that really breaking my heart.”

Neutrogena has not commented publicly on the renewed boycott calls.
