Kanye West is now a VEGAN according to a person close to the rap and fashion icon. Media Take Out has learned that the billionaire recording artist is changing up his diet – and at least for the time being, is no longer eating animal products.
Kanye is the latest celebrity to jump on the vegan diet craze – which is growing increasingly popular among the rich and famous. Here are just a few other celebrities, who have decided to adopt a vegan diet: Beyonce, Zac Efron, Gisele Bündchen, Ariana Grande., Bill Clinton, Venus Williams and Liam Hemsworth.
Kanye’s explained, “I’m trying out the vegan diet and [so far] it’s working for me.”
Ye’s new vegan diet will likely help him lose weight. The billionaire rapper has been putting on the pounds lately.
According to nutritionists, Vegans can lose weight quickly if eating a whole food plant-based diet. This involves eating foods in their whole, unprocessed forms such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds. These foods are high in nutrients but low in calories compared to standard Western diets.
There are other benefits to a vegan diet, especially for people who have diagnosed mental health struggles – like Kanye. A few anecdotal studies have found that vegan diets can help alleviate episodes in people who struggle with bipolar disorder – like Ye.
So we can all expect to see a more calm and svelte Ye in a few months . . .
