Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested last night, and charged by federal agents with s** trafficking and related crimes under the federal RICO statute, Media Take Out confirmed. He’s facing more than 100 years in prison, if convicted.

But just one year ago, before his life was derailed by the lawsuit by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, Diddy was putting together an investment group to buy MTV, CBS, and other multinational companies, multiple people exclusively told Media Take Out.

We spoke with multiple people, involved in the deal, who told us that Diddy was in “late stage” process of putting together financing for a close to $5-$10 billion offer for Paramount Global, the parent company to CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount pictures – one of the biggest movie studios in the world.

Paramount Global was sold earlier this year to Skydance Media, in a deal valued at around $8 billion.

Diddy’s potential purchase of Paramount, sources explained, was a lifelong dream for Diddy – and would have catapulted him to becoming one of the wealthiest and most powerful Black men in the history of the United States.

One insider explained, “Diddy had all his ducks in a row, and was moving to buy Paramount. It was going to become the biggest deal by a Black person in American history.

But Diddy’s plans were derailed, we’re told, after he received word that his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was bringing a lawsuit – which would air out the couple’s abusive history to the world.

The team member told Media Take Out, “Cassie’s lawsuit ended that dream.”

Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy provided credible descriptions of Diddy’s abusive behavior. According to Cassie, Diddy’s abusive behavior was open and accepted by everyone in the music business.

That behavior was openly tolerated, that is., until he sought to buy one of the biggest companies in the world.

Since the lawsuit was filed, Diddy was caught on video beating Cassie. And even after he settled the lawsuit, for a reported $30M, multiple other alleged victims came forward with sordid tales alleging Diddy’s depravity – prompting the federal investigation which eventually got him indicted.

Diddy is now the third prominent Black man in the United States, who was hit with devastating s**ual allegations – after he launched his intention to acquire a multinational media company.

In 1985, Michael Jackson acquired a valuable music catalog, which contained the rights to The Beatles. Years later, he began negotiating with Sony music, to exchange the catalogue for a controlling stake in Sony Music publishing. If he successfully negotiated that deal, it would have made him the most powerful man in music.

But in the midst of negotiations, Michael was hit with a devastating s** assault lawsuit from the family of a 13 year old boy. Michael’s reputation took a huge hit, and he was forced to sell his catalog to Sony for a 50% interest in Sony Music publishing, instead of a controlling interest.

Similarly, Bill Cosby was poised to buy NBC in the 1990s. He put together a group of investors who were willing to provide the capital for the sale. Cosby’s offer was eventually rejected, and years later he was hit with a scandalous series of s** assault allegations – which ended up getting Bill Cosby in prison.
