A former Real Housewives of Orange County producer is unloading on Shannon Beador, claiming the longtime Bravo star “hates” filming the show but stays for the fame, perks and paycheck.
Patrick McDonald made the claims on a recent episode of Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast, where he detailed several encounters he says showed Shannon’s difficult behavior behind the scenes.
“It’s the addiction to the fame, and it’s the money,” said Patrick. “She despises doing the show.”
He claimed Shannon often became upset during production and recalled one moment when she allegedly ordered cameras to stop rolling. Patrick also said he watched her call a restaurant and twice introduce herself as “Shannon Beador from the Real Housewives of Orange County” while requesting a table away from other diners.
Patrick further alleged that production has shielded Shannon from some of her worst moments.
“There’s footage of Shannon that is much worse than you’ve ever seen on the show,” he said, claiming producers show enough of her lighter side to keep viewers invested and encourage her to return.
He also backed up prior complaints from Love Hotel host Joel Kim Booster, who once accused Shannon of mistreating crew members before later apologizing.
“Every single word he said is true,” Patrick claimed. “I’ve seen her do it multiple times.”
Shannon has been called difficult by not only producers, but also her castmates who have, in the past, blamed her behavior on her relationship with alcohol.
