Latina actress Eva Longoria told her fans and followers that she was referred to as “Black,” “dark,” and “ugly” when she was growing up in a family of White and light skin blonde Mexicans.
Since she had a darker complexion, her family referred to her as, “la preta fea” — the ugly black one.
Please note that in the below clip Eva translates the the term to “dark” – but the definition of the term “preta” is actually Black and in some countries, including Mexico, it is a projoritve term – similar to the N word.
