Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne’s estranged husband Tom Girardi is making headlines after he cursed out a prosecutor during a mental competency hearing.
According to Courthouse News Service, Girardi apparently said or mouthed to one of the federal prosecutors: “Fuck you.”
The outlet reports that the comment could not be heard from where the public sits, the prosecutor brought it to the judge’s attention, and neither Girardi nor his defense attorneys disputed it.

AUSA Ali Moghaddas was crossing an expert who says Girardi is incompetent for trial when Girardi spoke up from defense table.

The outburst came as Assistant U.S. Attorney Ali Moghaddas cross-examined Dr. Stacey Wood, a neuropsychologist who testified Tuesday as an expert witness for the defense. Moghaddas suggested the outburst was evidence that Girardi was able to understand what was happening in the proceeding, and that he knew he had “nothing to lose.”
“It’s certainly rude and inappropriate,” Wood said. “You deserve our respect.”
Prosecutors believe Girardi may be putting on for the judge so that he gets off lightly.
