Emily B Breaks Her Silence! Reveals 5-Year-Old Daughter Journey Is Nonverbal And Autistic… Plus A Rare Diagnosis! (DETAILS)

Media Take Out has some incredibly touching news coming from the household of Emily B and Fabolous. While the couple has been through their fair share of public ups and downs, they are coming together today with a message of pure love and strength.

In a moving Instagram post shared yesterday, April 2, 2026—in honor of World Autism Awareness Day—Emily B finally opened up about a side of her life she has kept “sacred” for five years. She revealed that her youngest daughter, Journey Isabella, is autistic and nonverbal.

“Some Journeys Feel Sacred”

Emily shared a series of stunning family photos featuring all of her children and grandchildren, but the focus was on little Journey. The Love & Hip Hop alum explained that she didn’t keep the news private out of shame, but because she wanted to protect her daughter’s process.

“For a long time, I kept this part of my life private… publicly,” Emily wrote. “My daughter Journey is autistic. She is nonverbal. She has sensory processing challenges.”

She described how Journey “experiences the world differently” and admitted that there have been moments of fear, but they have been outweighed by the lessons of motherhood.

The PHACE Syndrome Revelation

Beyond the autism diagnosis, Emily also revealed that Journey was born with PHACE syndrome—an extremely rare congenital condition.

  • What is it? PHACE is a collection of disorders characterized by large hemangiomas (birthmarks) and can affect the brain, heart, and eyes.
  • The Impact: It often requires intense medical monitoring and can cause complex developmental challenges.

Fabolous, the “Young OG” himself, jumped into the comments to show support, simply writing: “A Special Journey.”

“A Special Journey Foundation”

But Emily isn’t just sharing for likes—she’s taking action. Media Take Out has learned that the stylist is officially launching A Special Journey Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with autism and complex medical diagnoses.

By being “loud” about her love for Journey, Emily is joining a growing list of Black celebrities—including Tisha CampbellHolly Robinson Peete, and Shawn Stockman—who are working to destigmatize neurodiversity in our community.

The Family Stands Strong

It’s been a big year for the family already. We saw Taina Williams (Emily’s eldest) showing out at the 2026 Met Gala last month, and now the family is rallying around its youngest member. Fans are flooding the comments with blue hearts and stories of their own “special” children.

Is Emily B the new face of Autism advocacy in Hollywood? We love to see a Queen turning her “sacred” moments into a mission! Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
