Elon Musk says he plans to vote Republican in the upcoming election.
“The reality is that Twitter at this point, you know, has a very far-left bias,” Musk said. “I would classify myself as a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat. And in fact, I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats historically, overwhelmingly. I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear. Now, this election, I will.”
Musk is in the middle of negotiations to purchase Twitter. He says that once he has purchased the platform, he will allow Donald Trump back on Twitter.
“Even though I think a less divisive candidate would be better in 2024, I still think Trump should be restored to Twitter,” tweeted.
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” Twitter said in response to the Capitol Hill riots.
